Individuality is rare, in all aspects of life. We believe we are being different by wearing a red and white stripped shirt instead of a black and white one, but really we are just being the same in a different way. Individualism. That is what drew my attention to blogger, Ziyanda Gxagxisa, of ‘Thee Perfect Man’ blog. I sat down with the stylish fashion student for a short interview and conversation about fashion, music, life, men, and everything else in between. Tell us a little more about your blog. My blog is a creative space for men to become the ideal “perfect man”, and this is different because its from a women’s perspective; we talk fashion, music, art, food and everything in-between. What is fashion to you? What does it mean? Fashion to me is a tool for one to express themselves. Fashion means you can be whoever you want to be. Fashion is the power to create. Have you always known that this was the direction you would choose career wise? Honestly, no. I thought I’d be a pilot or working in environmental law behind a desk working, the 9-5 lol. What inspired you to start your blog? My love for not only fashion but for the opposite sex and the way men too have it hard in terms of styling their clothes and becoming this perfect man every woman is searching for. What is your goal in the fashion industry? What do you hope to achieve? I would love for my opinion to be valued in the industry to the extent that one would pay to hear it. But in the world we live in, I would love to have a successful blog, my photography and creative directing propel into something amazing. How would you describe your own style? My style is ever changing with who I am but very drawn from street style in a minimalist way. Who is your favorite musician? There are way too many amazing musicians that I love but just to name a few Drake, Travis Scott, Luther Vandross, Ben Howard, Frank Casino and Okmalumkoolkat. What is the first thing you do in the morning? Usually complain that I didn’t sleep enough or I check my phone for any messages. What is the last thing you do every evening? I go into my little corner and meditate for an hour or so. Name one thing that people wouldn’t or don’t believe about you? That I use to be a gymnast, and that’s why I’m still great at doing handstands and cartwheels lol. Originally posted on FiveHead Fashion.
