Bringing together the elements of form and function effortlessly, the second year Urban Refugee collection was a perfectly stitched success! Inspired by the international refugee crisis, this collection could not have come at a more appropriate time. The collection, a curation of well-constructed drimacs and puffer-inspired jackets, featured garments that not only looked fashionable, but also presented functionality for the wearer. The second year group hit the nail right on the head by making survival wear look street style worthy! Amongst the group was designer, Lydia de Kock’s own garment. “Refugees are always on the move, so I wanted to create something that best suits their lifestyle,” she says.
